Called to Protect™
Our new Archdiocesan safety training requirements are in full effect and include training on the topic of child sexual abuse prevention and a background check for all school volunteers.
What does the training include?
Praesidium’s Called to Protect™ training teaches parents, families, and people who work with children how they can keep children safe from sexual abuse.
Part 1: Called to Protect™ for Parents and Families
Teaches parents what they must know to protect their own children
Part 2: Called to Protect™ for Ministries
Teaches Praesidium's five-step approach to operating safe programs
Who should attend the training sessions?
Parents that wish to enter the building for any reason other than office business; Including, but not limited to volunteering in the classroom/library, chaperoning field trips, bringing birthday treats to the classroom, having lunch with your child, or serving lunch. This training provides valuable information for keeping your child and our school community safe.

Update Training and Code of Conduct
To update you regarding current research and help recall the boundaries and suggestions for keeping your children safe from sexual abuse, the Archdiocese has chosen the Armatus® program for annual update training. This is a follow up to the initial Called to Protect training that will further your understanding of child sexual abuse prevention.
Along with keeping a current background check on file, for 2008-09 the annual training includes two online updates:
“Meet Sam” – 30 minutes
Archdiocese Code of Conduct – 30 minutes
Please go to the website www.PraesidiumInc.com and complete the following steps to view the Code of Conduct:
Click on “Armatus® Training New!” in the left-hand navigation menu.
Select “Click here to begin Armatus® online training.”
Enter your log in and password.
Your login is the first initial of your first name and your full last name. Your password is the four numerical digits of your birthday, followed by your state abbreviation.
