## Advanced Math

The mathematics curriculum for middle school students is both challenging and exciting! Even if math isn't a student's favorite subject, our classes help them to discover that math is an amazing language which helps us understand, describe, and change the world around us!

Our middle school math classes meet both the Archdiocese of Portland standards as well as state Common Core standards, which prepares students for futures in both private and public environments. Throughout the year, our students work on learning new skills, strengthening old skills, and use group activities and puzzles to grow as mathematicians and problem solvers. I am excited to help guide our St. Ignatius students on their math journey this year!
